Adoptee Mentorship Program
AMP is a summer career and mentorship program that aims to primarily bring adoptees into human services related fields. Each summer, mentees have the opportunity to explore a variety of fields from early childhood education and leadership to cosmetology and entrepreneurship. Upon completion of the program, mentees will be trained with valuable classroom and field experience. This program is open to any family eligible for our services.
Kids Like Us Mentorship Program (KLU)
Our KLU Mentorship Program is a sister program developed for foster youth, adoptees, donor conceived children, and children from low income backgrounds. This mentorship program was developed with evidence-based research to combat potential challenges individuals in these populations are more likely to face. Mentees meet with their mentor twice a month with a goal of developing life skills, emotional regulation tools, and post-high school career and life trajectory advice and support. Young children in our program focus on developing age appropriate emotional regulation and skills to talk about life struggles that come with their identity.

Kids Like Us’ Families Giveaway
At Kids Like Us, we believe play is crucial to child and adolescent development. Our family giveaway provides toys, books, and winter items to families. We prioritize adoptive families, foster families, kinship families, donor conceived families, and low income families.

Parent Rack
Many foster youth and adoptees are born to parents who are unprepared to parent. We believe in giving parents the tools they need to be the best parents possible over government interference. The Parent Rack provides parents with resources and items to care for current children or to prepare for the arrival of a new child. Our parents also have the choice to utilize our referral services, receive budgeting help, and plan for future success. Our model was developed to mimic Finland’s comprehensive welfare system, which has led to an overall increase in reunifications and decrease in adoptions.

Triad Holiday Party
Our annual holiday party brings together foster & adoptive parents, foster youth, adoptees, low income families, and families with donor conceived children for an evening of food & fellowship!
We also provide emergency kits, parent prep packages, and other donation items as needed. Thank you for reviewing our services and programs list! Contact us with any inquiries, questions, or feedback.
